The relationship (in)between Solution Focused Philosophy and Danish Design by Anne-Marie Wulf, Denmark

When I attended the 2011 EBTA conference in Dresden, I had the pleasure of meeting Cynthia Franklin, USA. When she heard that I was from Denmark, she asked if I thought there was a connection between Danish design and SF.

Being younger and inexperienced, I couldn't give her an answer, but ever since then I have been thinking about this relationship.

When I attended EXPO2025 in Osaka, Japan, I got some of the last pieces of the puzzle in place, and at the workshop I would like to try to answer Cynthia's question - I actually can't think of a better place to do that than in Denmark.

In this workshop I will talk about the connection between Danish Design and SF philosophy, and we will together explore, how this connection can be transformed into other fields than design, e.g. art, architecture, music, the nordic kitchen or on a more societal level.
