Normalization and its meaning by Maarit Pietiläinen, Finland

Normalization and its importance - After all, what is normal and what is something that needs to be dealt with? Who ultimately defines it? The purpose of this workshop is to stimulate discussion and reflection on where we ourselves encounter our clients - whether it is somewhere in our area of expertise or in the client's area of expertise, or perhaps somewhere in between.

During the workshop, we will do perspective-expanding exercises in small groups and in pairs, and challenge ourselves to find new ways of thinking.

Maarit Pietiläinen:

I'm a solution-focused psychotherapist, a solution-focused brief therapist, a psychiatric nurse and a cultural producer.

I work at my own practice in Finland offering solution focused psychotherapy, solution focused brief therapy, single-sessions and hypnotherapy.
