Soldiers of Love

We live in a society that is bursting with frustration and anger in and between people. That is precisely where we notice the exact same thing that set us in motion 18 years ago, now on a collective level: we are collectively incapable to give anger a healthy and useful role in our society, even though it crops up constantly and everywhere.

The only answer we find is to condemn it, quell it, punish it, surround it with much shame and answer it with equal violence. Imagine if we would connect and transform the collective anger of protesting teachers, farmers, climate activists, blank voters, ... into a source of energy, instead of the energy drain, polarisation, individualisation, paralysis and mutual competition that now ensues.

Imagine if we could tap into this societal anger as a new source of knowledge and the energy contained in it could serve to choose and change things for the better. Imagine what our world could look like, with anger as the global force that makes this world a better place.

With Soldiers of Love, we zoom out from individual positive aggression to living together in a solution-focused way and embracing all of our differences, and we add two elements to anger: imagination and collectivity. How can we all contribute to a better, inclusive world for all? How can we live together so that we would be proud of how we do it? Developing ways, tools, handles to discuss difficult things, disagree, argue respectfully, clash without hardening, clash without attacking, ... is what we have to do. The collective quest in this workshop will sparkle the everyday positive activist in you and will inspire you to sculpt a realistic, hopeful future with a lot of imagination. Together, we will join the rapidly growing army of Soldiers of Love.
