Sebastien Vernieuwe and Dirk Quagebeur from Belgium present:
3 questions that make a difference
In this interactive workshop, we explore how three deceptively simple questions—originating from the legacy of Dr. Luc Isebaert—can spark meaningful change in therapeutic conversations. These “3 Questions for a Good Life” have become a go-to tool in Bruges Model solution-focused practice, both in individual sessions and broader systemic work.
Our focus aligns with the theme “In Between” by examining how these questions help clients navigate transitional spaces: between despair and hope, between where they are and where they want to be—even between digital overload and meaningful connection. We will share practical examples of how the 3 questions are applied across different contexts—from a GP’s office to youth care work, and in applying solution-focused thinking to the challenges of a digitalized world.
Participants will work in pairs and small groups, experiencing the questions for themselves and leaving with concrete tools to use in their own practice—as well as a renewed appreciation for the power of simple, focused dialogue. And yes—participants will also get to taste “3QBeer,” a craft beer inspired by the 3 questions, created to celebrate and spread the message in a playful, memorable way.
Everyone will receive 3Q beer coasters with the questions printed on them—a small gift to take home and keep the conversation going.
